Make these No-Bake Chocolate Halloween Truffles for your next spooky celebration! Creamy milk and dark chocolate truffles are rolled in chocolate sprinkles, then turned into cute bats with Oreo wings and candy eyes. No oven needed, and so fun to decorate!
Finely chop the milk and dark chocolate, then place them into a medium bowl.
Add the cream and butter to a saucepan set over medium heat. Heat until the butter is melted, and just before the mixture reaches a boil.
Pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped chocolate and stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
Add the Oreo crumbs and vanilla extract and stir to combine. Refrigerate until the mixture is easy to roll, about 15 minutes.
Roll the mixture into 12 round balls of about 25 grams each. Pour the chocolate vermicelli into a bowl and roll the truffles in the vermicelli to coat.
Separate the Oreos and remove the inner frosting. Use a sharp knife to cut each Oreo in half; these will form the bat’s ‘wings’. Place each set of wings close to each other, and then dip one side of a truffle into melted chocolate and place the truffle over the wings. Continue with the rest of the truffles; do not move them until the chocolate has set. Decorate each truffle with two candy eyes that have been dipped in melted chocolate.
Notes
Do not let the butter and cream mixture boil.
If you have left the truffle mixture in the fridge for too long, you may need to warm up the mixture in the microwave for a few seconds to be able to roll it.
