Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a loaf tin, 23x14x6cm, with baking paper.
In a large bowl, mash 4 bananas with a fork.
Add the vanilla and the peanut butter to the mashed bananas and mix well.
Add the eggs, oil, and sugar and mix to combine.
Sift the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon together.
Fold in the sifted dry ingredients and then the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin, top with your last halved banana. Bake in a preheated oven for about 40 min or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the loaf comes out clean.
Allow to cool slightly in the tin, slice, and enjoy!
